Ranocchia in Malta for Inter Academy launch
On 17 and 18 October, the Inter legend met members of Malta’s Inter Clubs and took part in a demonstration training session for youngsters in Marsa.

The on-pitch event took place on 18 October at the Marsa sports complex, where Andrea Ranocchia took part in a demonstration training session for youngsters during the launch of Inter Academy Malta. The Inter legend attended the opening as part of a weekend combining activities for children with meetings with fans on the island.
The programme had begun on the afternoon of 17 October with an event exclusively for Inter Club members, featuring photographs and autographs, followed by a visit to Inter Club Malta Nerazzurri. The following day, Ranocchia met members of Inter Club Pupi Malta before heading to the Academy event. The two days concluded with a lunch with the Maltese supporters’ clubs, also attended by Inter Club Gozo.
The opening forms part of the initiative outlined by Inter on 23 April: a base at the Marsa Sports Complex and a programme for boys and girls aged five to 14. The plan announced by the club included summer camps with coaches from Milan and, from September, regular training sessions throughout the season. The development project was therefore designed to support youngsters beyond individual events.
The new Academy joins an already established Inter presence: in April’s announcement, the club reported three Inter Clubs with a combined membership of more than 2,000 in Malta. In the same announcement, Inter also set out plans to expand the project across Malta, starting from its base in Marsa.
